From Data to Wisdom with Technology
DepOrtak, which matches the demand for storage space with the supply of storage space, is actually the technology company that enables the transition from data to wisdom.
By clicking on the 10s of options (features) in the search filters developed by DepOrtak experts and developers, you can have the wisdom to shape storage spaces by creating useful information from the data generated.
“Search filters” covering every detail about a storage space, for example, “Technical Specifications” for the most preferred storage space features; “HSE-S” for the most preferred Health, Safety, Environment and Security practices; “Certifications” for the most preferred certifications; “Technologies” for the most preferred technologies; “Value Added Services” for the most preferred value added services; “Transportation” for the most preferred transportation operations; “Facilities” for the most preferred facilities; and “Product” for the most preferred products for which storage space is needed.
In addition to search filters, for example, the most preferred geographies can be determined with “location” data.
Multiple data can be used to map related searches, for example, to identify the most preferred value-added services for products that most frequently need storage space.
When DepOrtak’s data is analyzed (I used the first three searches except for location in my article. Detailed graphs including all search preferences, including the first three, will be shared with infographics very soon):
- 1 out of every 4 searches for storage space is for the “Fulfillment” category and 15% of the searches for the “Storage” and “Fulfillment” categories are for “temperature controlled storage”.
- The top 15 cities for “storage space” searches in Turkey are listed as “Istanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa, Bursa, Izmir, Mersin, Ankara, Kars, Tokat, Tekirdağ, Adıyaman, Kayseri, Antalya, Balıkesir, Eskişehir, Karabük” for e-commerce products in the “Fulfillment” category and “Istanbul, Kocaeli, Izmir, Bursa, Ankara, Antalya, Mersin, Adana, Balıkesir, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Eskişehir, Manisa, Adıyaman, Tokat” for products in the “Storage” category.

Those looking for storage space for their products can click on the options in the search filters to be listed in seconds to alternative storage spaces with the features they will specify; they can view the photos and prices of the listed alternatives and find the most suitable storage space for themselves.
The data-to-wisdom process is the process of deriving useful purposes from collected data.
Every data collected with DepOrtak search filters will enrich and improve the knowledge of not only storage space seekers and storage space service providers, but also all stakeholders related to storage. For example, those in need of storage can learn the necessary storage features for their products that even they themselves do not know; those in need of storage can click on everything they would ask when searching for storage in the classical way, and even features that they may forget to ask or do not think of; experienced warehousers can shape their warehouses according to this data; investors can choose a location for warehouse investment and design their warehouses according to the most preferred technical specifications for this location; suppliers of materials or equipment used in storage areas can shape their products according to the data; warehousers can offer the most preferred value-added services for the most common products and even create an ideal warehouse standard with this data.
As I wrote in the first paragraph, DepOrtak is the technology company that enables the transition from data to wisdom.
